For anyone planning to acquire a copy of the forthcoming Osprey MAA book on Australian Bushrangers who might be new to the subject and looking for a more substantial work than the necessarily superficial text contained therein, White's two-part history is available in full free online on Project Gutenberg Australia.

On the same site is the full text of that author's 1889 work, 'The Story of the Blacks', which contains much detailed material on frontier relations – and conflict – between Aborigines and settlers, officials, and explorers, all told from a surprisingly sympathetic (to the Aborigines) perspective considering when it was published.
