Nice work! Are the planets styrofoam?

Regarding the night side, I remember seeing one big years ago where a guy painted the night side jet black, them stippled it with yellow dots to denote city lights. I'll have to see if I can find that again.

That's basically what I did on my first attempt but the transition from night to day side was too stark so I am going to try blending it subtly.
