Was hoping I might get some help with French naval artillery crew uniforms for crews serving ashore, 1870-71. Would they be wearing white uniforms like the ones pictured in Askari miniatures catalog (not sure if that is a tropical uniform) or blue, like the sailors serving ashore as infantry? Thanks for any help! |

Those are basically summer and winter uniforms, so it would depend. If your Fusiliers Marin are in blue, the gun crews would be also. |

I plan on painting mine blue when I acquire them. I already have a three battalion regiment of fusiliers-marin in blue for my French Army of the Loire forces. Jim |
