The museum is very close to the beach. Thus it makes a nice walk link with cafes etc along the front. Parking is difficult. The museum has a big cinema. I felt that the museum need a few more actual physical exhibits. Much better to get into the car and drive to the Bayeux museum. Excellent amount and quality of artefacts, vehicles etc… sadly the August 1944 museum at Falaise has disappeared. the Hell's corner museum and shop is excellent too.
Bayeux and Hells corner would give a much better day out in my opinion.
