Anybody know who and where I can get some 15mm French Chasseurs de Fischer, in the US? Old Glory has some French light infantry in mirliton and grenadier bonnet, which were labeled Fischer Chasseurs in the photo, but kronoskaf says they wore a pokalem, looks kinda like a Prussian fusilier helmet. They also had some in helmet but no photo.

Kronoskaf seems unique in showing a pokalem. Most depictions show a hussar-like mirliton complete with a flowing wing or tail ending in a tassel.

Patrice Courcelle has a very nice print of a Chasseur de Fischer. Google "Chasseurs de Fischer" and click on images.

Not 15mm, but this is how I interpreted the Chasseurs de Fischer in 28mm. As you can see, they are wearing the hussar-style mirleton:

OK then, that opens up a new can of worms. Does anyone else have any further info. I like and have great respect for kronoskaf, but, I have noticed a few, inconsistencies, in data, this may be another. So, is it a "pokalem" or a "mirliton", (personally the mirliton looks a lot cooler than the pokalem).

Greetings

Moullard link seems to show Mirliton for the WAS and the fusiliers in tricorn for the SYW.

Well, I found some of my dusty and obscure tomes, Pengel and Hurt and Alan Sapherson of Active Service Press and they seem to confirm the general concensus that the Chasseurs de Fischer wore the mirliton for most of the SYW. True they appear to have officially switched to the tricorne in 1762, but would probably not have gotten around to that until the mirlitons wore out.
I only saw one brief little pic of what appeared to be some wargame figures, flats, wearing the uniform with the strange little cap, all others showed the mirliton.

Qrf does them in 15mm. Conflans became the owner and changed things for the units but as said so late as irrelevant for us.

UK based distributor as I recall. No offense, but I was hoping to find a local, or at least US based distributor. Ah haa, glorious, the prices are in USD, no conversions. I will look into it. Thank you

kustenjaeger – True, Pengel and Hurt do note a tricorne but not until 1762, they most likely would use what they had until they wore out before changing styles.
