Two years so not to affect the national budget.

In the mid 19th a Norwegian crofter found a huge treasure of Viking gold.

He told the farmer who owed the land and they brought it to the authorities.

The finders fee was 2060 speciedaler which the farmer and crofter shared 50/50.

1030 speicedaler to put it in perspective was 49 years worth of earnings for a crofter.

He became known as the goldman and used the money to buy a 150 acre farm.

As mention the finders fee had to be split between two national budgets because of it's size.
