Madly getting figures together for this project and was wondering….
Has anyone else tried this combination and does anyone have any views on rating the Riders of Rohan?

I have a little, but most of the time you don't need Dragon Rampant: Lion Rampant works fine unless you've got ents or wargs on the battlefield.

And I wouldn't do all Rohirrim the same. The king's bodyguard are pretty clearly knights, but they have lighter cavalry, and even a smattering of horse archers.

We are working on using DR for LotR right now and we plan to start play testing next week. You can easily build traditional units to meet your LotR expectations and tweak them to play as you think that they should. I'm sure that you already have an idea as to how the RoR should work and I would simply pick the characteristics that match their style and tactics. Now, if you have some ideas as to how to incorporate Mumaks into DR I would be happy to listen:-)

I agree with above—you need to differentiate somehow the Sons of Eorl or Bodyguard types from regular riders. Maybe all should be knights, but tinker to show that the former have heavier armor and should be slightly better fighters.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Body Guard = Level Headed Elite Cavalry
Main body = Heavy Cavalry + Bow.

Mumaks= Ponderous Greater Warbeast with mounted missile and 6" move? @ 7pts?
