I am thinking this would have been a great gift for the 14 year old me, in 1977. A pretty box with cutouts for a set of D&D dice and two 25mm figures. I would have slid it into my backpack with my white box D&D set.

That said it's totally impractical. What happens when you add another dice set or another figure? I would quickly take out the foam insert and go to something like tissue paper wrappings for the figures.

Which is exactly what some fellow gamers did, repurpose a pretty curio box.

I guess I could see the point of this being a really cool gift box. Otherwise, I'm with ZuluPaul on this one.
