If someone can link info that would be great (I'm too lazy to figure out how). They are asking 50 pounds for a membership that promises a 10% discount, a newsletter, and a free sample every month. I like the company and their products, but I'm doing the math in my head (not a very effective calculator, I'll admit) and it doesn't seem to be a very good value, unless you plan on spending 600 pounds a year and are happy to collect any model. Just my thoughts. What do you think? |

Pretty much the same thought as you. There is very little value there for your money. I guess if you are a big fan of exclusive minis? Otherwise I don't see the draw. |

I think that you should use an Excel spreadsheet to do the analysis! |

Too expensive, you could end up getting a lot of figures you have no use for and would need to spend around £500.00 GBP to make it worthwhile. |

I saw it but with my figue purchases dropping to virtually nothing, not a bargain at all. |

It's certainly not worth my money. |

What a crap offer . They must be having you on . |
Vigilant | 26 Mar 2019 12:29 p.m. PST |
Can get a better discount at shows from other traders. Not worth it for me. |

Seems as if it's just another revenue generating stream where they're counting on most gamers not using the full benefits, thereby earning a profit off of it. The proceeds allow them to use those funds for additional staff, projects, marketing, etc., to either grow the company or keep it at its current level. Many gamers will jump on it, especially those who are heavily invested in their games, so it's a smart and logical move on their part. I can't see the value of it as you would need to spend a lot of money to make it worth your while, but some gamers have a lot of money for their hobby. |

They made an offer. Its like any thing else, if you don't like it don't use it. |

GBP 50 is about USD 66, which is quite a few miniatures, even at retail. I would keep my money in my pocket and spend it at flea markets and other places where cool things can be found. |
TheWhiteDog | 26 Mar 2019 4:06 p.m. PST |
Since you can typically buy their products at much more than 10% off MSRP elsewhere, it doesn't make much sense to me… |
Aquahog | 27 Mar 2019 4:03 a.m. PST |
They also used to have sales with similar discounts. I wonder if those are going away for non-club members? Or if the club members get better discounts at sales perhaps? At worst its 12 miniatures for £50.00 GBP Nah… |

Are they in trouble I wonder? Seems desperate no? |

It is kind of puzzling since one can easily find the minis at 10% off without paying for it. |
Rudysnelson | 30 Mar 2019 11:03 a.m. PST |
All of our products both at the store and at conventions have always been marked either 10% or 15% off retail with no membership. That has been since 1983 so 36 years. We did this because back in the late 1980s, hugs clubs began offering a 10% discount with membership at shows. To reduce hassle we just began doing it out of policy. |
Rudysnelson | 30 Mar 2019 11:06 a.m. PST |
Are they in trouble? A different issue, but such policies hurt the sales of their products at retail outlets. They have really expanded their genres so that may be of concern. |

I'm not seeing any value at all. Sure they send you a free random plastic sprew each month. Not much good if you are not into what they send you. And they only send it if buy something that month. 10% discount is very underwelming for the cost of the card |
