Having a few Aventine 28mm metal elephants I can say that resin is the best material for the elephant body (and notice that Aventine did move over to resin for most of the elephant parts including body and heads etc.) So I don't agree with your observation Shagnasty. As for the crews and howdahs that is a matter of taste. Having built a few metal howdahs using resin might be more enjoyable. Not sure.
