Red, white and blue always look good together.

But go to the last picture on his thread. A bottle of vodka, caviar and various things I cannot identify. Splendid. He could be Irish.

I cannot read one word of his posting, but God Bless them all.

Once sat two tables from Gorbachev in a very smart restaurant, for a very posh dinner, in Corfu…complete surprise. Without these gents in the early 40s, we might be living in a very different world now.

Website of Dmitry Fomin, excellent detail on Russian and Austrian Napoleonics.

Liam click the "translate" box on the right of his site to select English. Translations are still a bit odd at times but plenty good enough to understand gist of what he is saying, and well worth it to get some of the detail. (Alternatively if using google chrome right click and then select translate that way).

Oh you mean click on the bit that says "translate" and guess what?

Must be me. Never dawned on me. But thanks indeed. Went back to it and well worth it. How about the monogram on the sabretaches? Or the shading on the horses? (I'll allow the whites of their eyes. Who knows what lies ahead of them?)
