And are you going to Hot Lead next weekend?

I ask b/c I will be there and would be happy to bring your order to you to save on shipping. Just saying… :-)

Are we really settling on "Petal Heads?" Can't we call ourselves Tekumelyani instead?

RobSmith22 Mar 2019 10:23 a.m. PST

Tekumaniacs?

Yeah, well, if one goes to one's local Indian grocery store to buy toasted cumin seeds solely for a more authentic chumetl, that pretty much says "petal head".

No wonder the factions are always fighting. They can't even agree with what makes up chumetl :

I've made it 3 times; the last time I got "creative" with the spicing, and it turned out tasting like Buttermilk Ranch dressing. Not a good result.
Going back to Indian salt lassi recipes, it calls for toasted cumin seeds (ground) and black salt. I would be tempted to add a dash of garam masala and a tinge of hing (asafoetida), but that might freak out the tastebuds of those uninitiated to South Asian food.

Ease them in with mango lassi.

Mango lassi is bussan.
