As I understand it, though the Russian Army had military wagons and support vehicles, there were never enough and often civilian vehicles were 'co-opted'. The Perry 'Russian Coal Wagon' is an excellent example. Does anyone know what colour these vehicles were? Were they left in their original colour? Or were they painted 'apple green' to fit in with the rest of the fleet?

Anyone have any ideas or information?

Hoped for a response as someday might come into my play, as a guess if the Army planned to keep it it might take care of it, if not and just a temporary accommodation it would be left to its original. So that would give some leeway to paint one green and another raw wood.

Thanks 14. Good advice. I too am surprised no one else has a view on this, especially as the Perrys have produced such a 'fleet' of Russian vehicles.
