Home sick as a dog after running my three games at CW. (iSandlwana [x2] and Rorke's Drift)

I had a fantastic time even if I was running on fumes by the time I got to Rorkes Drift on Saturday night. No VC's were awarded this time around!
I didn't get any photos of the RD game… if you happened to take some pictures please post them here.

Thanks to everyone who participated… this was a joy for me to put on.

Thanks to all my friends who helped playtest and setup/breakdoown this beast. A special shout out to Mark D'Ulisse for saving my bacon and completing the encampment for me (I would have come up short). He knocked it out of the park.
Thanks to my friends Cliff, Dave, Mark and Steve for lending figures to this epic.

28mm 1600 Zulus

Here are the pics.

Now what to do for Historicon?

Thank you all for the kind words… it's easing my suffering from this horrible cold I've had since Sunday! Talk about timing.

Sincerely, thank you.

These were 2 of the most awesome games I have ever seen at any convention. I cannot even imagine the amount of work involved with each. Fantastic!!

This is truly amazing. I can really appreciate what you have done as I have hosted both battles and am only up to 800 Zulu in 28mm.

Just ran Rorke's Drift again at Little Wars this past Saturday evening.

You have provided something to inspire to.

Cheers!

A truly awesome looking game. Nicely done.

TRUgamer30 Apr 2019 9:58 a.m. PST

afilter,
Yours is impressive in its own right with 800 Zulus! I had to borrow from three other collections in order to get to 1600! It looks like your games were well received. Nicely done… Gotta love this period!

TRU,

Thanks, while I have plans to slowly add more Zulu with the scenario we recycle Zulu, so in reality there is an endless supply. ;)

Yes, never considered doing this period until one of our group made a random suggestion a few years ago, now I am hooked.

Since this year it the 140th anniversary will try to run a couple more iterations of both scenarios at upcoming cons.

The best part about historical gaming for me is all the history you learn I the process.

ScottS01 May 2019 7:07 a.m. PST

That is absolutely spectacular. Great work!

SgtGuinness03 May 2019 6:13 a.m. PST

Absolutely incredible!!!!!! What an amazing looking game on all aspects. Would've love to have played in this one no matter what the rules used were. That being said, what rules did you use?
Cheers,
JB

TRUgamer07 May 2019 9:36 a.m. PST

Thanks guys… Rules used were The Men Who Would Be King which worked surprisingly well for this large scale action.
