I know there was a fluid "trade" in the DAK and British Commonwealth forces recycling each others equipment in N Africa through sheer necessity. however did the Italians ever use other nations kit?

Any help appreciated as I'm looking into viability of a Chain of Command Italian force and wondering about support options.

I've seen photos of at least one T-34 being used by Italians on the Eastern Front. Whether they were more than just propaganda photos I don't know.

I read on Wikipedia that the Germans gave the Italians 32 S-35 SOMUA tanks, but I don;t know whether these were deployed:

Just found this – looks like the Italians never got a chance to use their S-35s in combat:

I wonder if those A9s and A10s every made it more than a few miles or were maybe even used as stationary.

Lucky crew that got that T34…

Thanks for all the input guys some great threads and photo links, however it has to be a double win for the Vickers Light tank, not only my favourite "clockwork" tank of all time but I get the double bonus of having some Caunter camo in my Italian force! (Has to be the coolest looking WW2 camo scheme of all).

Just a follow on question, I'm looking at the Perry 28mm range, they have a mix of sun helmet and the M33, would a mix of these been worn in the frontline, especially for the early years. Reason I bring it up is the Perry mortar and LMG's only come with sun helmets. yet 20mm cannon mount only has the M33. Ok to get away with mixing both in the infantry squads? I know it's a dumb question but Italian WW2 not my strong point and I'm a complete newbie to the subject.
