What's nice about them?

"What's nice about them?",…….Well, they look very well sculpted to me, other than the shakos appear to be scrunched a bit too low.

Why can't I get legere figures like this in 28mm?

Bad day Aethelflaeda…? (smile)

For 1/72 they are great.

Are they supposed to be painted? Show me finished models not wip.

Tango0117 Mar 2019 4:02 p.m. PST

No… they are not Mick… I was not aware you hate WIPs…

Wip is a really silly thing to display. You'll never be sure if the finished item is still close or not. Just wait until the bloody things are done.

Do not agree… but I respect your opinion….

I am not sure what I am looking at. These are 1/72 scale. OK. Metal I assume but with conversions using Greenstuff. But what were the original figures? Are they commercially available and, if so, who makes them?

Their proportions and detailing/posing/animation is laudable but I would agree the shakos are far too low and narrow in the crown.

I like WIP, personally, as one picks up modelling tips, but only if there is some text and not just pictures (grin)

Liam, these are conversions on existing plastic models. Italeri French would be my guess based on some of the poses

The shakos maybe look stunted as they have gained width from the covers. As they are modded on the original plastic shakos the heights will be fine
