The game came out last summer, it showed a lot of promise.
But there were problems, the net was unstable, with people being kicked out of games, it ran like a dead donkey, no matter how powerful a computer you had.
Also because there was a lot of controversy around the Battlefield V game, a lot of battlefield players wanted to play Post scriptum, but those games are completely different.
Battlefield is quake but with WW2 weapon skins.
Post scriptum is a tactial/simulator, with realistic weapons and maps.
Anyway, the release during the summer was semi catastrophic.
Now many months later, I went back, since I tried it last time there are some differences.
1. all the Battlefield guys are gone, this means there are only 3-5 servers at any one time, with lots of players. Which means you might have to queue to get in.
2. The game runs much better, still not as good as it should, but much better.
3. AMERICA YEAH! US Airborne has arrived.
4. Tank only maps, I tried this just 30 minutes ago, rocking as a gunner of a Firefly, the other crew was French, and while they spoke English, in heated moments, I had to try and decipher french. I blew up a Panther by shooting through the windows of a house.
5. More maps.
In the end, at its core, it's much the same as 9 months ago. When the game works as it should, with good communication within squads and between squads. And both teams are good. It's a fantastic game.
Like the game, I played earlier today as the 82nd. My Squad had set up by some woods, as we've had reports of a large group of Germans coming our way, We made ready,
the 1919 was set up, and then 20 germans ran across the road, and we all just opened up, within seconds all 20 Germans were down.
But when they game doesn't work, it's a chore, if your team is bad, you'll end up getting flanked all the time, as soon as you spawn, PLING and a bullet to get head and you're dead, rinse and repeat.
But damn, even those 20 minutes of just getting killed and killed are worth it, because when it works there is no game like it.
