Yeah, it's surprising Arthur had the presences of mind to remember to take the sword. And why didn't the chronicles ever mention her state of dress? |

Malory did mention it – but dress, not undress: So they rode till they came to a lake, the which was a fair water and broad, and in the midst of the lake Arthur was ware of an arm clothed in white samite, that held a fair sword in that hand. Unless she's a different lady in a different lake. |
