A little piece giving a flavour of the Kuruc Independence was against the Austrians 1703-1711 in Hungary.

Ottomans, Swedes, French, Poles, Rumelians, Bulgarians, Tatars,Germans and renegade Austrians all in the same force. Beat that for variety.

A great period to wargame and you can use all the same troops, plus a rainbow of European troops that were formerly enemies, for the Austro-Turk war of 1716-18.

Your description sounds a lot like my family tree, especially the one about the renegade Austrians.
