"A New Apocalypse boxset is coming. That would be interesting.Although this is rather vague, its not the first time I have been hearing that this is coming. While I don't know the accuracy of this bit, but it's the second time I have heard of Apocalypse coming sometimes this year, and the first was from a very solid source."

Apocalypse was never updated for 8th ed. so this, if anything, is a long time coming. |

Apocalypse never really interested me much. The idea is nice, playing big battles in a way that could end quickly, but I've never seen it executed well. What I usually see is just a giant table full of miniatures all 24 inches apart on a 4x whatever foot table, with half of them unpainted, no discernible rhyme or reason for why the terrain they have is where it is and not a hint of any reason why the Tau, Tyranids, Dark Eldar and Chaos are teaming up against the Blood Angels, Orks, Eldar, Imperial Guard and Space Wolves. It would be neat to see a nice themed Apocalypse game on some awesome terrain with the big models but I've yet to see it happen. |
