Does anyone know of any manufactures of dismounted French Hussars, ideally to match Perry figures in style/size?

Thanks in advance.

I believe Garrison did one a long time ago if you can find them

It's a bit off the wall, but Casting Room Miniatures does a pack of "Street Hussars": link . These are armed with modern weapons and aren't specifically French, but they are in period costume and might provide a basis for conversions…

A bit desperate, but: Eureka Seven Years' War dismounted hussars – link – with the Perry French hussar heads FN228 ?

Cheers. I think the street hussars might take too much work, but 7yw ones mihht have potential. Hadn't thought of that.

Plastic chopping should be so easy.

Just saw through at the waist and stick any torso of a hussar (Perry. Warlord) onto a set of plastic legs without coat tails, or with them removed (easily done).

The snag is that the left arm is always across the waist, intended to hold the reins. All your hussars will look like they are suffering with reflux oesophagitis (UK spelling).

The Perry Dragoons were unique as cavalry with both arms freed, with incredible conversion potential.

Foundry Seven Years War Hussars about 4 dismount packs of 6. Eagle Miniatures has 2 French hussars in dismount. Also Steve Barber may still have some from the discontinued Napoleonic range. Redoubt miniatures has 5 dismounted British hussars in 28mm. hope this helps

Steve Barber used to make dimounted hussars (westphalians) in his older ranges, maybe they still are available, you could contact him
