…Pope Francis on Monday said he will allow access to the records on World War II-era Pope Pius XII, whom many Jewish groups long have said did little to stop the Holocaust. The Vatican has defended Pius, saying he used behind-the-scenes diplomacy to try to save lives. Francis indicated he, too, embraced that interpretation…

This is not going to be pretty.

Few American Catholics are aware of just how suspicious of democracy the RC Church was until after WWII.

They are even now, with a decidedly leftist bent.

How about the full Russian Files from the war. LIke a full manifest of Rare Materials they gave to the Germany to allow them to Conquer Western Europe. How about a full report on The Communist sabotage of France's Armements industries to aid the Germans. How about a full disclosure of the application to join the Axis Alliance or the Secret offer of a separate Peace after Stalingrad.

Maybe they're keen to push attention away from sex offending priests?

A report on the US Union Bank's financing of Nazi Germany would also make interesting reading. Lots of dark secrets to be told from all countries across the world.

No clean hands and many more than 50 shades of gray …

Few Americans period … were and are aware of history, and many, many other things. WWII or otherwise.

Wackmole9, is there clear evidence of sabotage in France? My reading is that the Communists were blamed for all sorts of problems that were sadly typical of the French aviation industry from 1934 to 1940. The Communist party nearly self-care destructed when the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact forced them to reverse course on Nazi Germany, which cost them all of their credibility with the French left. with the outbreaks of war, the party was officially outlawee and its cadres were arrested. Many of the production difficulties simply came from the vast expansion of the aviation workforce, and their lack of experience. The workforce expanded nearly 10 times from 1934 to 1940. There was no way to avoid errors and waste with this many new employees learning on the job. The speed of production that was required inevitably lead 2 poor quality.
