If you play, or would like to play, any naval games; what is your favorite period for naval warfare?

I also like Trireme or rather ED Smith's Greek Naval Rules.
Unfortunately, that is not quite how they fought in eons gone by. Shame but I think it's a really good tactical game. If I control more than a dozen ships I will ram myself….

Have fun.

Age of sail. Anything with power becomes a line them up and shoot. Tactics no longer matters. Galley games can be interesting.

Ancients. Another vote for Trireme rules!

I pretty much enjoy naval gaming spanning a period from about 1880 to about 1980, but can't pick a more focused period as being preferred.

epturner28 Feb 2019 6:31 a.m. PST

Civil War ironclads, first and foremost.

But most floaty things with guns.
