I don't have any actual knowledge, but from a quick review of the laws of gravity – – – I suspect that it couldn't be used like that, or the weight of the exposed belt would drag more ammo out until it hit the ground. |

Yes, the PKM ammo feed system is real, google "Scorpio". Very interesting, and no doubt ultra heavy. There's space for one on my table. |
