Sorry net crashed and I did not think it went through…

Hello all,

I was making some terrain tiles this weekend and this thought occurred to me. I figured it might inspire some gaming with those in limited budget and/or space.

What if I played Dragon Rampant at have size with have units.

No change in rules, but using a 2 x 3 board with 15mm/6mm figures, with half measurements, and units with 6 or 3 figures.

Once again Sorry.

Budget posting..ha

Random idea will work. The rules are very simple and invites players to tinker to suit their needs.
Would need less space.
From experience – the budget limit will pass in time.

Exactly what I'm planning to do with Rebels and Patriots.

I am going to do that for Rebels and Patriots and Dragon Rampant, 6mm, full sized units, but half ranges. I lifted the idea from here: link

Share your terrain boards, this is the perfect scale for that approach.

Don't halve it twice. 2x3 board with 15mm figures and half measurements works fine. 2x3 board with 15mm figures, half measurements and half-size units is going to make the game a LOT more luck-prone--and a lot shorter. At the very least, if you reduce the number of figures in a unit, reduce the dice rolled proportionately. Otherwise, what would be a damaging cast at full scale will wipe out or cripple a unit.

One clarification in "half size" units. This meant half the model count but still counting as 12 or 6 figures.

Using a counter to mark losses.

Thanks

Looks like fun; the rules are squishy enough that 1/2 measures will work fine. Personally, I've experimented with 2x2 board, 6mm, and centimeters. Works great.
