Which figures are the Empress WWII 28mm figs compatible with?

First Corps
Artizan
Crusader
The Assault Group
Other

I really like their figures, but currently, the range is limited, so looking for items to fill our platoons – especially German Panzerknackers, and similar Russian/Soviet figs with anti-tank mines, magnetic mines, molotov cocktails, etc..

Seem to match better with Warlord or Offensive Miniatures.

Warlord and Offensive minis actually don't mix well. One is heroic scale while the other is true scale. Unless we're talking about early BA figures sculpted by Paul Hicks, but those have long been discontinued.

I never bought any 28mm Empress WWII minis, but if I have to hazard a guess on which other manufacturers to mix them with I would go with Offensive, TAG and Perry rather than Warlord, Artizan or Crusader. 1st Corps is huge and wouldn't mix with any other range.

If you don't have anything against plastic and want to save some serious money, I recommend Wargames Factory. They're also true scale and should look okay with Empress figs. But what I particularly like is the fact that they're much cheaper than all the others out there.

WF is out of business, Warlord bought their molds. You can find them (WF WWII) on E-bay often.

WF is still available dirt cheap on EBay. Warlord bought out WF because they want a monopoly on plastic WWII figures but it'll take awhile for existing stocks to run out.

Dreamforge is the way to go then. The late war US and German infantry come down to 40 cents per 28mm figure, with the Russkies cheaper still averaging 26 cents each. Warlord (or anyone else for that matter) can't beat those kind of prices.

Playing Bolt Action or Chain of Command in this scale isn't as expensive as some may think. So what are you waiting for???!!!
