'Archaeology on the Frontier' charts the findings of ongoing recent archaeological and historiographical research into this body in particular, with some overlap with Australian Frontier Conflict in general.

Amongst many fascinating articles are one on an abortive attempt to issue the NMP with the Westley-Richards 20g breech-loading DB carbine in 1867, and another on the history of NMP uniforms.

On the 'Publications' page are links to numerous academic papers arising from the research, including one on fortified frontier homesteads.
