Do you like to mix Gothic Horror (werewolves, vampires, pumpkinheads, witches) into your fantasy wargaming? |

I like Gothic armor, though I do prefer mid 14th and early 15th century armor over mid to late 15th century armor. |

I use pretty much all the standard Gothic Horror species listed by TV Tropes. link I'm not sure that horror is a wargame modality. Horror requires a different type of dynamic than tabletop wargaming – suspense rather than tension. I still like the characters, moods, and aesthetics of the genre in the wargaming activity. |

In D&D, sure. I'm not opposed to it on the tabletop, either, but I don't have armies structured that way. I will agree with etothepi, though, that "Gothic horror" isn't really a mode for big battles. Gothic horror implies a much smaller experience, with a limited number of protagonists facing a powerful antagonist, in an environment of suspense and ever-growing, yet possibly undefined, danger. If vampires, werewolves, etc,, are on the battlefield, then the "Gothic" part of it is gone, and it's just a battle against a legion of horrors— but then, that could always have been the goal of the antagonist in the suspenseful setting. So you can have them in a big battle game, but at that point the "creepy, sinister Gothic horror" element is gone. |

Yes, but I prefer to do it as a skirmish scenario in its original "historical" setting, rather than a generic fantasy setting. I'd rather fight vampires in Transylvania than in D&D, for example. That being said, yeah I have no problem with it. What I'm currently painting:

Very nice Sigwald ! I think the one in the middle asked me to go out for a bite after I got off work ? But that was a long time ago … |

Love to field Undead Armies. Not much of a sense of horror with them, but they're fun armies to play with/against. Cheers! |

Yes. I've thought about doing a Medieval Highlander/World of Darkness type of game, but I never got around to it. |

All I do is 6mm Sci-fi. But if anything like Weres, Vamps, witches, etc., shows up on the gaming table. I'll deal with them, just more Xenos ! Beside my Epic Chaos forces have demons, zombies, beastmen, etc. It's all good ! Or bad … |

Such items are now a staple of fantasy gaming, but in a mass battle system it's hardly very "Gothic" at all. The sheer scope of games like HOTT rather makes the Gothic elements appear as "just more stuff to fight". I do, however, have Chaos in Carpathia, Rippers: the Horror Wars and many others which should suit, an if not, it would probably work better as a role-playing setting anyway. |
