The last thread I could find on this topic was dated 2002, but there is probably one more recent.

The question is, "Who makes 28mm dogs?"

I like to add dogs to command stands and vignettes, and I trying to build an index of what is out there.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Iron Wind Metal sells several. Here is a link to a search for "dog", which I ran: link. The results show several dog models.

I purchased several copies of the war dogs with master, set. The dogs are decent, but simple. They paint quickly, and easily.

Reaper makes several, as well: link. I found some barded dogs (Plate Mail), but I can't find who made them -- sorry; they're mounted on bases so I can't look at the bottom of their molded bases to see the manufacturer's name and (c) date. Cheers!

Sgt Slag,

Thank you very much for your kind reply and links. Several of the offerings look promising. I appreciate your time very much.

Perhaps I should qualify my request though. I am looking for "historical" dogs as opposed to "fantasy" dogs. Actual breeds or even those beloved mutts are acceptable (as long as they aren't wearing armor or have the term "dire" in their name. 😁

Many thanks

Sarbanes in the UK have regular dogs in their animals range. Don't know if they have a US outlet or how much shipping would be.

Back when I was doing IRA, I looked in vain for a greyhound. Master McGrath to be sure.

Steel Fist produces these medieval hunting hounds that look a bit like greyhounds:

I don't know how I can continue to exist without the set of Bad Squiddo dogs! Who's a good boy? Who's gonna find the IED? Where is it? Go, boy, go!
