M113 most versatile APC ever made. Large numbers are still used in support roles such as armored ambulance, mortar carrier, engineer vehicle, and command vehicle. "These variants together currently represent about half of U.S. Army armored vehicles. To date, it is estimated that over 80,000 M113s of all types have been produced and used by over 50 countries worldwide, making it one of the most widely used armored fighting vehicles of all time. The Military Channel's Top Ten series named the M113 the most significant infantry vehicle in history." |

The SdKfz 251/D series. Not the best APC ever, but certainly my favourite. |

113. I had never seen one in person until a few years ago. Far biggger than you get the impression of from video and pictures. |

251 for WW2. So many variants and different colour schemes to chose from. Post war the 432 series. A solid Cold War Battle taxi. |

M-113
That's it … right? I once showed a former Marine colleague of mine a picture of a WH40K Rhino and he asked, "Jesus … whose M-113 variant is that?" |

Always been kind of partial to the Ram Kangaroo but it's hard to argue against the m113. Like etotheipi said it's still being used after 40k years. |

We use to say that the M113 had "One Way Armor", it would let bullets in but not out. |

Bren carrier…said no one ever. |
vichussar | 20 Feb 2019 6:15 p.m. PST |
Might be biased but after serving 11 years in and around them, my favourite has to be the M113A1 Australian variants. That said, I wish the Reserve Armoured units had received LAV-25's as a wheeled vehicle would have allowed more training options |

M-113 and variants. Bradley although that's maybe not strictly an APC – I would say that the 113 is roomier lol! |
Bashytubits | 21 Feb 2019 2:57 p.m. PST |
Well, my APC is the only one that can ambulate. It does have a strange susceptibility to Elves however. |
Legion 4 | 21 Feb 2019 4:51 p.m. PST |
M-113 and variants. Bradley although that's maybe not strictly an APC – I would say that the 113 is roomier lol! Yes, I agree ! The Bradley being an IFV may have more firepower and more armor, but can only dismount 6 troops. Where the M113 APC has a lot less armor and firepower but can dismount 9. As we know Infantry does it's "best" work dismounted on the ground. And go places vehicles can't and won't. In either case you hope the M113 or M2 is in a support by fire position. But in terrain like thick forests or jungles. The Tracks LOS will only go as far as the woodline. |

Legion 4 | 24 Feb 2019 9:52 a.m. PST |
I rode in the AA7V at Basic Amph Training at Little Creek, Norfolk, VA back in like '82 or '83. When I was with a Reinforced Rifle Co. from the 101. Was there Cross Training with the USN/USMC. That AA7V was big inside and out compared to the Army's M113s !! |
