Does anyone know of any 28mm Angel, or Angelic type miniatures (preferably winged) suitable for Fantasy Wargaming?

I am looking for "Rank and File" miniatures to make a unit of 20 or so rather than individual character models, so should fit on 25mm square bases and preferably not be 'premium priced' (such as those for rpg games at £5.00 GBP+ per miniature!)

Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.

You can check out Ebay for Heroclix Angels you might find some decent price auctions.

Also Reaper Dark Heaven range has some angels.

But to create a unit of around 20 it going to cost you around $120 USD-$150 or more.

Reaper does have some of their angels in bones. Also Dungeons & Dragons miniatures have some angels in their pre-painted minis but not sure on prices these days.

Hmm, the first thing that springs to mind is West Wind's "Lucifer's War" range. Plenty of angels, but probably a bit too expensive to meet your requirements: link

There are Mantic's "Elohi", but these are also too large and too expensive, I think: link

Since manufacturers tend to make angels rather larger than regular humans (and therefore correspondingly more expensive), you might consider looking for 20mm or even 15mm angels instead. Don't know if anyone makes such a thing, though…

Iron Wind metals has a lovely archangel and angel of death in 25mm. RAFM also has some old school metal angels that would fit on 25mm bases. There may be some "devas" in the D&D and Pathfinder ranges.

Old Glory had a good sized line for Lucifer Wars.

look to Christmas decorations. Find a good example of a picture, copy it, mount on cardboard.

Paint these

I also have been looking for angels, ones in armor like St Michael not child faced things but serious looking angels without success.

Sandra Garrity has done a number of different angels (with sword, or trumpet) and they were all reasonably priced (back in the day at least). Some were made by Grenadier (could try Mirliton now) and some by Reaper.

Just checked Armorcast Battlefield Terrain and they have three Garrity angels formerly from Grenadier. One is Gabriel blowing his trumpet and the other two hold swords and shields.

Just checked Reaper and they have a host of different angels by Garrity and several other sculptors as well, many of them sword armed.

If you can source the wings from somewhere you could turn pretty much any humanoid minis into angels.

Mantic basileans have some
