If I was a chéf without doubt the Naval Miniature would be my signature dish.

After the slog of Project Jutland a couple of years back I have had a bit of a break from painting the nautical, 250 1/2400 ships is a enough for one lifetime.

But then there is the ships that weren't at Jutland, I hear you say, and you are quite right ! I have collected a slack handful of GHQ ships to fill the gaps in my collection and one of the bonus rounds on the Analogue Hobbies Winter Paint Challenge was "Water" queue these bad boys.

15 inch guns and thick armour what's not to like, they will take pride and place at the head of my WW1 German Navy. Lots more on blog.

Beautiful work Ken. Are the main gun turrets stuck in that position or have you found some way of rotating them without losing the little devils?

Hi Paul,

Glued in position they just fall out otherwise and if you allow them to rotate they take the deck paint off.

The choice was to have them all on the stern aft axis but I think it just looks boring, especially when you have hundreds of them.

I can live with the fact that sometimes in a game the guns aren't pointing in the right direction to have a more dynamic look.

Great looking job on both the ships and the sea bases!

These look great. Nice photos for what is really such a small miniature.

One question- why is this showing up on my feed as part of Medieval Product Reviews?

Thanks, Its in Medieval Product Reviews as it was hit by the TMP bug when I posted it, it merged with another post (it's also picked up a Figure Finder tag). Not intentionally in those tags.

If they were at Jutland the outcome would have been the same.
Still there most likely would have been more Brit ships lost.
