I spent about 10 minutes googling photos of oriental carpets so I can make my own flying carpet figure. Have been bombarded by Persian carpet adds for the last three days. |

Don't make the mistake of googling "Hotts" for Hordes of the Things…I did years ago…it wasn't pretty & rather "X" rated. |

My worst was looking for a map of the Belgian village of Bodange for a 1940 battle. It appears the kinky sex crowd can't spell. |

Russ, You don't want to look up "Bond Girls" (as in Bond, James Bond) either. |

I once researched "frequency spectrum" (a science-y thing) and got tons of redirects that I could buy frequency spectrums for 25% off at Target. I knew at once they were Liars… |

Yeah, looking for ideas on how to paint my Hun cavalry. Typed in Huns, Didn't know huns fought in the nude, co-ed, and using all 101 positions shown in the Kama Sutra (plus several more that weren't illustrated). Gee, isn't the internet wonderful for learning new information like that? |

Do internet searches through an engine that doesn't track your searches, problem solved. startpage.com/en You may also want to look at using a browser that supports ad blocking. |
Stryderg | 17 Feb 2019 7:06 p.m. PST |
duckduckgo.com is another non-tracking search engine. None of them are quite as fast as Google, but you don't have to deal with the backlash. |

The internet was a useful thing at one time; prior to the intervention of the time-traveling marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation and general weaponizing of the internet by denizens of our our space-time continuum. |

In The UK there is a supermarket chain called "Iceland". I have a friend who every time he shops online at that supermarket is bombarded by online adds for holidaying in Iceland. Makes him mad, makes me laugh. |

Like most things humans get their hands on … some it up for the rest of us. For example I am still awaiting my money from that Nigerian Prince that contacted me on line …

They keep telling me a need a cane, but then they tell me I can't hit people with it. They need to make up their minds … |
von Schwartz | 01 Mar 2019 6:09 p.m. PST |
Well, I used to know a guy who had a 'whiskey cane'. Some one hollowed out a simple cane and inserted a rather large vial of 12 year old scotch. Didn't really need to use the cane until "after" his walk. |
