"Combat Car: Another WiP Scrap Build" Topic

Thought I'd run a separate thread for this one as it's bit different from the previously posted scout skimmers in terms of style and influence – thought to be honest I've never read Drake or player Hammer's Slammers, but you can't avoid the excellent models out there.

The base is a yet another kids magazine toy, a mobile phone, as it happens (unfortunately I only have the one). It was going to be a light tank / AFV, but the slight curvature of the screen meant it was going to be difficult to get anything to sit right without a lot of filler or filing. But then I caught site of a frame of gun shields from the old JB Models M113 ACAV! Cut and stitch drilled the screen out, wishing I'd thought of this before I'd applied all the other bits of scrap plastic card etc, and installed the gun screens. Really impressed myself – mainly for not lacerating myself with my Stanely knife.

Since it was the only one, you could have used it to start into the world of casting. ;-)
Thinking, gge round piece under the forward facing gun is the drivers hatch like on a tank.
Put a small freebie on 8t yo resemble a view port. A small head for example. Or a bit of GS or modeling clay.
Be sure to show painted pics.

Freshly varnished, with simple 2 colour camo executed with a brush – and against all my previous experience it turned out okay. (Oh and some Brigade 15mm eye candy in the background for scale also freshly varnished)
