I'm looking for advice please.

I started my 28mm War Of The Spanish Succession project a few years ago and I have up to now painted Bavarian, British, Dutch & Hesse-Kassel troops.
(I am the allied player in our group but the Bavarian uniforms and flags just look so good that I couldn't resist painting some).

All the troops are very similar in equipment and look. Oh, they have different coat and facing colours and I've tried to give units their own 'style' by varying manufacturers and equipment colours

BUT

I have noticed that my output is slowing as I get a bit bored of painting (basically) the same uniforms over and over again. A session that would once yield 10 painted figures now only allows me to do 5 before I have to go off and do something else.

Is there any troop type from the WSS that I could paint that has a different look to the main armies, to break up my painting sessions but still add to my project?

I am considering starting some Winged Hussars and branching out into the GNW but I would really like to stay within the WSS.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try a Catalan Army for WSS in Spain, also Portuguese. They at least are a break from light grey, white, off white,

Have you done cavalry?
Danes and Austrian cavalry have buff coats and so look kinda different, also one regiment of Danes and most of the Austrians have lobster helmet, and so look almost exactly like late ECW/TYW cavalry.

How about these?

And the Austrian heavy cavalry have the "lobster pot", as mentioned above.

Thanks for the replies.
I have Bavarian cavalry in lobster pots but I may go for Danes next. Slightly different uniform and will allow me to also game the GNW.

Again – thanks for all the suggestions.

I've being collecting over the years a significant part of the Austro-Catalan army, as well as some Two Crowns forces --either Spanish and French.

Such collection is 15mm, but perhaps might help you inspire: link

By clicking on each picture you're led to a post devoted to each particular regiment. Pictures there can be enlargened by clicking on them.

Text there is catalan lanaguage only, sorry for this. However, any good online translator can help you read.

Cheers,
Lluís
