We played our first game of Cruel Seas today. We had two S-Boats escorting a tanker. They were attacked by three Vospers (1 Type II and 2 Type 1). The game went quite well. One Vosper was sunk, as was one S-Boat. The tanker took a torpedo which didn't do all that much damage, but The remaining S-boat had gotten itself out of position and the two remaining Vospers had several turns where they could just cruise alongside the tanker pouring 20mm and machine gun fire into it and it eventually sank before the S-boat could interfere. It is a really enjoyable game. We didn't use any of the advanced rules, but we definitely will in the future. Time to buy some more ships! :) |

I know the feeling too well, Scott! In fact, after playing a few games now, I succumbed to the temptation. Got some stuff arriving quite soon now. (And just to help you, Wayland games have Cruel Seas stuff at 20% cheaper than Warlord. And free worldwide shipping). |

Scott, great to hear you got your Cruel Seas – "Battle Stations" – feet wet! All who have played it in our group like it too. We're home ruling it, but the game is still fun and playable w/o. |

The rules definitely need some tweaks, but that's easily done. |
