nice build but GOK why you would bother painting all those interior bits then gluing them away out of sight…

Because the builder knows they are there.

And many times they leave things like turret roofs or engine decks loose so they can be removed to show off the interior. The builder, in this article, does mention he made a few mistakes gluing down things he should have left loose and that much of the detail would be wasted once closed up.
