I'm planning a wargame campaign and I'm in the process of making maps. Although haystacks don't appear on my maps, or fields for that matter, doing one thing sparks thoughts in another tangential direction – to wit, table-top terrain.

It got me searching on google for 28 mm haystacks. Pat's site came up with a very inspirational post on making them. I have not followed his example directly but I put my efforts down to him. He posted his how to back in 2013, I'm posting mine now (with a link to his) because this kind of thing is gold dust for those doing things on a budget. Thanks, Pat.
