Five episodes of this series, which was screened from 1968 to 1970, are available on You Tube.

There's no mistaking its era of origin: the direction, acting, costumes, and over-wrought soundtrack all scream pure sixties, but as it's a one-of-a-kind it might still be worth a look for those with an interest in the Reivers of the 16th century.

I forgot to mention that, because the footage is taken from the BBC's own internal programming monitors, there's also the minor distraction of an on-screen timer running continuously.
