I have recently received the ASL module Red Factories. So stoked to play.

I also plan to do some scenarios in miniature. Does anyone know what the "Martin Ovens" looked liked? They were apparently smelting ovens and the Russians defended 14 of them. They are portrayed in on of the new Red October scenarios. Thank you for your help!

It is an open hearth furnace, and is often called a Siemens-Martin furnace.
