Blakes Seven was one of the grittiest sci fi TV series made pre-2000. I've just finished "boxed setting" all four series and I've just had a box of rather nice starship models arrive from Shapeways. For those of you who have been lucky enough to see B7, who was your favourite character? Its a tough one for me, I would have said Cally, but watching the lot again reminded me that I'm more of a Soolin kind of guy :) |

Then there was Travis. Why did it always rain on him? Was it because he lied when he was seventeen? |

Poor Winston… My favourite sci-fi show, all the way back from the 1980s, a lot of the good guys & gals got the chop, which was quite a shock for those TV days. Avon, although SooLin was very easy on the eye, and quick on the draw. |

Friend and I were watching one episode, his dad walks through: "What 'ch watching?" US: "Blake's Seven" Dad: "There's only 5" US: "yeah" Dad: "Which one's Blake" US: "He died in the second episode" Dad: "huh" and walked out, never to speak of it again |

Avon / Vila / Servalan / Blake / The bloke with the eye patch who couldn't be killed ORAC is also the voice of Liberator. Who is also the voice of Slave-1. And also the voice of K-9. Talk about getting typecast.
How do you decide between Avon and Servalan? They were two sides of the same evil coin. |

Travis was the poor mans Blake. +1 Vintage Wargaming No-one likes Gan ? Harsh! It was interesting because Avon and Vila were a love-hate (mostly hate) buddy-buddy and Gan and Vila were also a buddy-buddy revolving around courage. Strange crew all told. |

Vila – saw the actor playing him at a convention once, when the convention said it was going to be Avon's actor. He handled it like a pro and had everyone glad it was him by the end of his talk. |
