True, but …

These are software. The end result depends on the quality of your 3D printer.

The Kickstarter page shows printed and painted samples.

Renders make it much easier to see all of the details of the models. Printed, primed, and washed samples that are carefully photographed are usually harder to make out than IRL. It also takes forever to do the extremely high-quality photography to show this level of detail.
