With Bolt Action, Chain of Command, Disposable Heroes, Nuts!, Battlegroup and many other skirmish rulesets we're certainly spoiled for choice.

Nope. No WW2 at all.

Lion in the Stars29 Jan 2019 8:59 p.m. PST

Flames of War is 1:1 figure:trooper, so that's a 'skirmish' by one TMP convention, even if you are usually playing with a rump battalion's worth of troops!

I also have the old Ambush Alley rules with their WW2 mods.

Fred Cartwright29 Jan 2019 11:17 p.m. PST

Yes.

Martin Rapier30 Jan 2019 12:26 a.m. PST

Not really, I prefer grand Tactical and operational. I do still have a bunch of Skirmish figures but haven't used them in decades.

advocate30 Jan 2019 2:29 a.m. PST

Platoon level games (Chain of Command). 1:1 figure ratio, but moving by team/section not individually. Doesn't match some people's definition of skirmish.

Lee49430 Jan 2019 5:14 a.m. PST

Yes. Often. Of course I prefer my own Skirmish Action Rules lol. Usually play in 28 or 20mm but find that 15mm can be fun too! Cheers!

Gaz004530 Jan 2019 5:31 a.m. PST

Yes, 20mm and 1/300 for busier actions!

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP30 Jan 2019 6:29 a.m. PST

Yes, but.

Skirmish is pretty much the only WWII I play. The games are resistance and partisan actions, so they are not army-on-army skirmishes, but irregular/guerilla or spec ops/strike actions. I do play a few OSS type games, too, which are technically army-on-army but they are small numbers and always supported by or supporting resistance elements.

Irish Marine30 Jan 2019 7:10 a.m. PST

Yes, I still use Battleground WW2.
