I decided awhile ago to start painting a 15mm/18mm ECW army based on the Blue Moon/Old Glory range. While I'm pleased with the foot figures, I find the cavalry to be unsatisfactory. The riders are scaled too small, and not sculpted as well as the foot.

Does anyone know of alternative ECW cavalry figures that you would recommend? I just purchased some Testudo figures, but am even less satisfied with those than Blue Moon.

Thanks,
Don

Khurasan
Some Donnington. ( ask him for the pictures)
The Old Glory horsemen are quite big, though the horses are smaller.

You can more or less mount and mix all three, using the smaller horses for dragoons, light horse et/ Scots…

Use some labelled TYW.

In a few weeks I will put on my site mix and comprison, selection and use, though for me it is TYW, Polish- Swedish.

Also consider Museum Miniatures

Definitely Museum Miniatures – I was persuaded into building an ECW army by seeing some of their beautiful dragoons at a bring and buy. And if you're quick about it you can take advantage of their annual January sale.
