Lovely figures but why haven't the Welsh got any helmets? unusable as heavy infantry without any.

Twilight Samurai –

These are images of the models created for the War and Empire kickstarter 111 which ran last February. The backers, me included, will get access to this part of the website sometime next month and be able to place their orders. Once they have been fulfilled the new figures will go on genereal release.

Not sure why not having a helmet doesnt make the Welsh above heavy foot. They are wearing armour.

Ah, the Welsh are not wearing helmets because they are folliwing the convention established in films where heroes don't have helmets even if they are in plate armour. This is because if they wore helmets the viewing public could not tell who was whom .
