Hi,

Thought I'd share some Austrian Infantry I have completed and made ready for war.

These fgiures are painted to represent Infantry Regiment Nr. 49, Kerpen during the 1809 campaign.

They are painted using a selection of Vallejo Model, Game and Citadel Colours.

If you would like to commission your own unit, get in touch at: expressminiatures@gmail.com

All the best,

Kurt.

Nice work – the pale grey facings are superbly executed!

They are very nice. I am painting some 15 mm Austrian now and I like the look of the Brigadier in yours. Thanks for posting.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody paint an Austrian regiment with pale gray facings before now. These are absolutely lovely; great brushwork.

very nice, in case I remember correctly the facing colour was the same as the coat colour for the Jäger.

Super unit.

Well done indeed.

Thank you all. Very much appreciated!

@vw, correct! This is my interpretation of eighteenth century pike grey at 18mm. I paint Jaegers the same way, albeit with a blue glaze to finish.

Already the Cold White makes any attempt at true historical accuracy moot, as does the use of acrylic paint to fabricate dyed wool. But the effect is pleasing on the eye, I think.

Very nice, and reminds me I haven't got a regiment with pike gray facings yet. :)

I prefer the warm colour approach to reflect the natural white – in the end – a matter of taste

@Markconz, thank you! Adoring your collection from afar I can honestly say they would look magnificent, and be turned out in record breaking time!

@vw, I love your collection and the way you present them. The choice of ink glazes to bring out the detail in AB figures is fantastic, something I really admire. Thanks you for sharing those inspiring figures.
