Hi all,

Now that Cold Wars preregistration is open I offer this shameless self promotion for the game I'm running on Friday morning.
[Repost without the bug]

F:341:10 "Sayonara, Gringo!"
Friday, 10:00 AM, 4 hrs, 6 players
Scale: 25mm, Rules: Combat Patrol

April 1915: With the world's attention riveted on the war in
Europe, the Japanese see an opportunity to strike the United
States through Mexico. Having established a base at Turtle
Bay in Baja, They are ready to strike. With the aid of
discontented Mexicans, an advance force has crossed the
border to cut a key railroad line. A Army Signal Corps party
and some locals try to hold them off. Will the cavalry make it in
time? What will they be riding?

This scenario is based on events reported by the LA Times in the days when Fake News was called Yellow Journalism.

And here's a shot from the playtest

Duncan,

I saw your game in the PEL.

In my opinion, one of the more interesting presentations on the entire list.

Enjoy the game. Hope to see you there.

Duncan, that sounds like HUGE fun. I'd love to play that gave using The Sword And The Flame. Would you be willing to share the scenario details?
Cheers,
JB

SgtGuinness,

There's not much to tell. I've set it up as a six player game with the right amount of troops for the rules I'm using -- Combat Patrol. The scenario is a small Japanese column has been sent to cut the rail line to protect the flank of the main attack. A small defending force has sent for reinforcements.

Hope this helps,
Duncan
