Has anyone tried using acrylic craft paint as a primer on resin figures? Durable? Bonds well? Bonds at all? Any other suggestion for brush-on acrylic primer? |

Tried it on a couple different kinds of resin. One the paint worked great on another kind it was worthless. |

I've done it with no problems. I always wash things in hot water with a few drops of washing up liquid before priming. |

Gesso is the correct answer. Plain acrylic won't adhere as well. And make sure you wash and scrub the pieces before priming |

Depends on the resin used, but I would NEVER use craft paint for a primer. |

Wash thoroughly first. I have used white craft paint on resin. BTW I use craft paint as primer all the time without problem on metals or plastics. |
