Can anyone recommend these rules for multiplayer games. My group tends to play a different rule set each month so I need something which can be learned quickly, move quite a few formations along, and capture the feel of the period? |

Should work fine for a multiplayer game--its been a while since I've played though, but I don't remember it having any game mechanics that would make multiplayer untenable. That and I have seen (and played in) several games at conventions with many players that were enjoyable, so depending upon your definition of multiplayer, it should be just fine.

Thanks. May give them a go. Need something for large group of eight or more. |

You could use the rules in "One Hour Wargames". When you have so many players involved, things just get exponentially more difficult to play an enjoyable game. At least that has been my experience. |

Charts, charts and more charts. Hope your players like math. These are quite dated. I'd prefer Neil Thomas' ancient and medieval warfare rules if I was going to use an old school set for a group or at the convention. At least By the Sword had a flowchart to help you plow thru the mechanicals. |
