The world has avoided war between major power war since 1945, even if the United States and the Soviet Union came quite close on several occasions during the Cold War. I highly doubt there will be a WWIII anytime soon.

Lots of regional wars though, since those are eternal.

North Korea seems to me to be on the target list again, due to their intransigence and foot-dragging over nuke disarmament. My guess is China and The Sovie…….errrr, Russia will continue to back Little Kim.

@Thresher: I dunno, the Chinese seem to be getting fed up with the nuclear-armed loose cannon on their border.

That's all for show.

Look how they rolled out the "red carpet" for Little, most-bestest Kim. Treated him like royalty, so I've heard on the news.

He's a thorn in our side, and their proxy, so nothing has changed.

They dissed our guy by not having the proper staircase available for him to walk down from Air Force One.

If that had been me, I'd have told the pilots, "wheels up in 60 seconds" and departed forthwith.

Iran, and/or the South and East China Seas seem like good, possible flashpoints too.
